Thanks Shailesh and Prabha. I tried to indicate the waves with the meandering brush strokes for the reflections of the pines. Not the others. Most important thing is that I enjoyed it. The second most important was that I dared paint it! :-)

The greens are so alive and transparent! I also like that little boxy building in the corner. Still, unperturbed lake that? Maybe you could add a few traces of watery movement - ripples? Using opaque white poster paint - just some dashes and highlights. Else it gets too mirror-like for comfort (Or just submit it to yesterday's daily drawing assignment. )

:-) This paper is good if you do not use a very wet in wet technique.  I did one such today and the paper formed cups and collected the paint in them! ;-)

Haha, 'Classmate'. Nice. My choice for quick sketches too. Esp the lined variety. It's nice to get back to school notebooks, and do all the things n scribbles n doodles n messy stuff which you were forbidden to do back then!

This one's beautifully translucent. Makes me wanna try my hand at it.

Thanks Mohan. Believe it or not, the paper is just the humble "Classmate" drawing book. They are in fact pretty good if you paint mostly with near dry brush. I hope to use better paper in future but for quick studies, this will do.
